Pachysandra terminalis (also called Japanese Spurge) is a tough, thick growing ground cover that thrives in shade.
Pachysandra is a drought tolerant, deer resistant evergreen ground cover that is great for massed plantings, edging and even containers. It will grow in partial to full shade and grows 8-10" tall. 1 1/2" - 4" oval leaves lightly toothed on edge. Foliage holds dark green color. Small white flowers in Spring and early Summer. Spreads by underground rhizomes. Space 8 to 12 inches apart for a reasonably quick fill.
